CAPCO Executive Vice Chairman Attended UN Global Compact Leaders Summit 2013

Mr. Yao Feng, Executive Vice Chairman of China Association for Public Companies (CAPCO) visited the United States from September 17th to 21st, 2013. He attended the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit 2013 in New York on September 19-20 and visited US NGOs like ECOA and C3. 

This year’s UN Global Compact Leaders Summit themed at Architects of a Better World. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon delivered the keynote speech at the opening ceremony and more than 1,000 business representatives, UN officials, research institutions and social organizations participated in the Summit. The Global Corporate Sustainability Report 2013 was also released during the Summit.

Mr. Yao Feng and other Summit participants covered topics like "how to integrate best practices of enterprises’ sustainable development globally by strengthening the driving force" and “maximize corporates’ capacity to contribute to sustainable development". They attended the "2013 United Nations Private Sector Forum: Africa”, where they conducted discussions on education, employment, inclusive growth, women's rights, innovation and sustainable finance. Mr. Yao Feng also attended the panel discussion hosted by the Summit strategic partner CBN TV.

Among his US agenda, Yao Feng paid visits to
the United States Ethics and Compliance Officer Association (ECOA) and Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship (C3), talking with Executive Chairman Keith T. Darcy and Executive Director Katherine Smith respectively. Both ECOA and C3 representatives expressed their willingness to explore future cooperate with CAPCO.
